What a turnout of Shinfield and Arborfield residents! The RAGE (Residents Against Gravel Extraction) team set out to raise awareness and to motivate residents to stand up against the proposed gravel extraction quarry and cement plant being proposed for Bridge Farm Arborfield. Did RAGE achieve this? YOU BET THEY DID! Hundreds of residents attended an excellent meeting at the Arborfield British Legion. A series of thought-provoking speakers outlined why they believe the proposal puts our communities at significant risk. Lots of research had obviously been undertaken.

Following the meeting  well over 1000 objections have been submitted.   This planning application is yet to be heard with current plans for the decision meeting to be on Weds 11 Sept 7pm at Shute End Council offices. This may change as the volume of objections may see the meeting delayed until October. Keep an eye out for when the meeting is confirmed as the more residents that attend the bigger our voice will be.  In the meantime KEEP OBJECTING !!!!
